The Arizona Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) takes pride in presenting scholarships annually to deserving Arizona State University ROTC cadets and midshipmen from the Army, Air Force, and Navy.

Funding for these scholarships is provided by the Arizona Chapter MOAA Scholarship Fund which is a separately governed § 501(c)(3) organization with its own board of directors. The Articles of Incorporation state (in part) that the fund: “…is organized exclusively to receive, administer, and expend funds to provide scholarships to outstanding Reserve Officer Training Candidates (ROTC)…”

At our April luncheon meeting Cadets Nicole Hartley – Army ROTC and Hunter Mason – Air Force ROTC were each presented with $2500 scholarships. MIDN Kyle Vonnahme from the Navy (Marine option) was unable to attend that day due to training requirements. His scholarship was presented at the Arizona State University ROTC awards ceremony a few days later with the entire battalion in attendance.

It gives the Arizona MOAA Chapter great pleasure and pride to be able to provide these scholarships knowing they will be put to good use.
